Over the past few months, we’ve been working with the Army Benevolent Fund, The Soldiers’ Charity, as our chosen charity for 2015.
Yesterday, we joined ABF at the much-anticipated Lord Mayor’s Big Curry Lunch with Soldiers’ Charity in the Guildhall, City Of London, where we were graced with the presence of The Princess Royal.
The event kicked off with an exciting blind auction where some great money can’t buy experiences were up for offer, including a five-night stay for two at the glamorous One&Only Cape Town Resort and firearms training with the City of London Police.
After a glass of wine and some very interesting conversations with ex-service men, we enjoyed a delicious curry in the magnificent hall alongside big names from the city, the government and beneficiaries of the charity.
The event was a tremendous success with over 1,000 attendees, raising around £350,000. Since it began, the annual event has raised over £1.1 million to support men and women who have served and our currently serving our country. We look forward to dining in style next year and we hope to see you there too.
