When the Great British Bake Off graced our screens this year, we wanted to make the most of the TV show before it moves over to Channel 4 and let’s face it, will no longer be the same. Every week since the show aired in 2016, a member of the Stir team created an edible masterpiece, each of which were thoroughly enjoyed and carefully judged.
The winner won by a landslide so we are pleased to announce that our Accounts Assistant Charlotte and her festive ‘Christmas tree cup cakes’ were crowned our 2016 Great Stir Bake Off winner. We’re sure you have already seen pictures on our Instagram – @StirPRLondon – but if your 3G has already run out for December, we have published images here so you don’t miss out.
Her chocolate cup cakes were topped with delicious bright green butter cream in the shape of a Christmas tree, which perfectly hid a strawberry surprise in the middle. A clear winner in our eyes but we think a few other Stirers deserve a mention…
Hannah took the silver medal with this show stopping chocolate and sponge cake.
Jess Filbey came just behind in third place with this spectacular two-tiered Halloween special.
And missing the top three by less than one point was Ailsa, who made our only savoury bake of the competition.
Whilst we enjoyed our weekly treat, we’re pretty excited to stop eating so much sugar… Bring on Christmas dinner, desserts and cheese and wine!
