Our day out with the Captivate Group.

In the words of Ratty from Wind in the Willows: “there is nothing – absolutely nothing, half so worth doing as – simply messing about in boats!” With this in mind the bi-annual Captivate day out took to the high seas (well the Thames) for a day of making friends and boogying – all in the name of team bonding.

The day began with a joint presentation from Darren Smith, the Growth & Innovation Director and Chloe Ellis, Chief Strategy Officer for Captivate. Exciting things are happening within the group – so watch this space! Informative talks followed from the six agencies across the Captivate group (Communicator, Seen Displays, Seen Presents, Missouri, Hey Style and of course us folk at Stir) who shared recent work, their specific skillset and what they had planned for the future. It was really interesting to see all the brilliant work our agencies do, working with leading brands such as Nike, Facebook, Footlocker and Jack Daniel’s.

The teams then headed to Tower Millennium pier and boarded a river cruiser for the afternoon – complete with some comical musical entertainment and bubbles. The sun shone, the tunes played loudly and everyone agreed they had an awesome day. It just made waking up for work a little harder than usual…
