The Big Green Egg – so much more than a barbecue, which is why this brand chose to work with an agency passionate about food and best mates with the most influential UK chefs and food writers.
The Big Green Egg worked with renowned gardener and interior designer Nicola Harding, to create a stunning stand at 2014 Chelsea Flower Show, showcasing their full range. Stir PR was tasked with gaining press cut through at the show on its opening day.
Recognising there’s no substitute for rolling up your sleeves and experimenting with the EGGs themselves, the Chelsea Cook-Off was conceived. Six journalists were invited to Chelsea to compete for the chance to win their very own EGG. Under the expert tutelage of Michelin Star Daniel Clifford (Midsummer House) and Tim Allen (Launceston Place), the journos smoked, roasted, seared and grilled their way to victory.
Rockstar farmer Alex James, Tony Turnbull from The Times, Amy Grier and Mark Sansom from Women’s & Men’s Health, alongside Felicity Cloake of the Guardian and Rosie Birkett all battled for victory, whilst getting a taste for the capabilities of the Big Green Egg.
The event, supported with a wider press office, secured 18 pieces of coverage over a month in the above titles, as well The Sun, The Observer, The Telegraph and The Express, with a total reach of 150 million.
Be the envy of every barbecue loving man – buy a Big Green Egg!
