A weekend in the Wilderness.

Long table banquets, Michelin starred chefs, meditation, yoga, theatre, wooden spoon carving, wild swimming, glitter, feathers, dance and music … all of these come together for one weekend each summer to create one of the most wonderful festivals in the country, that can only be known as Wilderness!

This past weekend, a few of us were lucky enough to experience the madness and culture of the most fascinating festival community, who call Oxfordshire home for four days each summer. Thanks to our client S.Pellegrino, the exclusive sparkling water sponsor at Wilderness, we attended as first timers, not knowing exactly what to expect.

Arriving to clear blue skies, basking sun and dry (yes dry!) grass, it is safe to say the weather gods were on our side and we were in for a treat.

Food galore, provided by the top restaurants that you’d queue hours for in London, was there in full force. From Duck and Waffle, to Patty and Bun and Petersham Nurseries, there really was something for everyone.

If you were after a bit more of an experience, tickets to feasts and banquets were up for grabs (with every one of them selling out!) for the real foodies amongst us. With S.Pellegrino on offer at all of the feasts and banquets, it was only right we treat ourselves to one of the banquets. The Niklas Ekstedt long table banquet took our fancy. We were spoiled when we arrived to find a four course menu, with delicious wine by Berry Bros. & Rudd and gorgeous S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna water gracing the tables. Feasting on roasted bone marrow with and vendace roe, hay baked trout, grilled and ember baked beef and a spiced fruit crepe, which was lovingly flambéed right in front of us by Niklas himself, this really was the icing on the festival cake.



To top it off, the sultry sounds of Nick Mulvy and Ben Howard were the highlights of the music scene for us, as we sang and danced the night away at the main stage.

What a weekend! What a festival! Highly recommend.
