The Botanist, Islay’s first and only dry gin offered Taste visitors a wild experience like no other last weekend, bringing Islay to London for four days only.
A truly exceptional gin and a representation of the region’s progressive heritage, nine classic gin botanicals are augmented by 22 local herbs and flowers, all foraged responsibly by hand from the hills, shores and bogs of the Hebridean Island by botanical scientists.
Showcasing an array of seasonal serves, The Botanist offered a bespoke cocktail menu including The Botanist Bramble, The Botanist Apple Collins and a very special Foraged Martini (currently available at Three Sheets, Dalston). Taste visitors were also invited to try a classic The Botanist and Tonic complete with a unique foraging table for guests to pick their own garnish.
The Botanist’s Brand Ambassador, Abigail Clephane also hosted a series of interactive masterclasses, with gin tasting and foraged food parings, created by The Botanist chef, Craig Grozier and professional forager John Rensten.
